Réflexions autour de la solitude (pathologique) dans deux textes d’Eugène Ionesco : Ce formidable bordel ! et Le Solitaire

Eugène Ionesco est un auteur apprécié pour son théâtre, qui lui a permis d’occuper une place de choix dans la galerie des grands dramaturges de la littérature universelle. Les thématiques autour desquelles il construit ses pièces sont le tragique de l’existence, la difficulté de communiquer, l’écoulement du temps, le monde envahi par les objets et la solitude. Ce formidable bordel ! et Le Solitaire ne figurent pas parmi les œuvres de premier plan de l’auteur. Le Solitaire (1973), son seul roman, est fondé sur la même trame que Ce formidable bordel ! (1973), pièce de théâtre écrite et publiée après le roman. Même s’ils proposent le même sujet, ces deux textes se distinguent par quelques éléments, telles l’échelle d’argent ou l’illusion du jardin édénique. Conçu comme une étude thématique où nous adoptons une démarche appliquée, notre article est divisé en trois parties : une introduction théorique sur le thème de la solitude chez trois philosophes importants (Montaigne, Nietzsche et Cioran), le thème de la solitude chez Eugène Ionesco et l’analyse des textes.
