Abstract

Both Arabic and foreign literature have addressed the Palestinian issue through poetry and prose. However, a distinctive artistic approach emerges in texts that transcend conventional literary forms and linguistic expression, instead utilizing movement as their primary medium. This shift renders such texts unique in their expressive form while maintaining thematic interconnectedness with the Palestinian cause. Among these, The Dance of the People of the Land stands as a prominent example. This research aims to interpret the semiotics of the dance movements and demonstrate their resonance with the Palestinian issue. Key findings reveal that the performance: 1-Transcends superficial or reductive interpretations. 2-Moves beyond verbal expression to articulate meaning through kinetic language. 3-Embodies fundamental values central to the Palestinian struggle. These dimensions form the core analysis of this paper.
