It encompasses various technologies that enable computers to perform tasks typically associated with human cognition. This study provides valuable insights into the ethical considerations and challenges associated with Artificial Intelligence in educational settings, helping to guide teachers and policymakers in the thoughtful integration of Artificial Intelligence technology to enhance educational outcomes. The study investigates the ethical considerations of Artificial Intelligence in EFL classrooms and examines teachers’ perceptions of its integration. Using a semi-structured interview, the study engaged seven teachers from the Department of English at Mohamed Ben Ahmed Oran2 University. The findings highlight considerations such as over-reliance on Artificial Intelligence, unethical use, privacy and security issues, algorithmic bias, and potential declines in critical thinking skills. Additionally, teachers expressed negative perceptions regarding its incorporation in EFL settings.
