It aims to identify the main factors underlying this decrease and provide guidelines for promoting literature reading. A questionnaire was administered to third-year LMD students to address the paper\u2019s questions. The discussion of the results revealed that students\u2019 daily activities, such as watching television and using the internet, jeopardize their reading habits. Additionally, a lack of motivation and ineffective teaching methods for literature contribute to the decline. Moreover, the paper highlights other contributing factors, as perceived by students.
