Malheureusement, cette scolarisation a longtemps \u00e9t\u00e9 marqu\u00e9e au Cameroun par son inaptitude \u00e0 produire des r\u00e9sultats encourageants (PASEC, 2015, 2016, 2019 ; Noumba, 2006 ; Piebop, 2022a, 2022b, etc.)\u00a0 C\u2019est alors que des organismes nationaux et internationaux (AUF, OIF-ELAN, AFD, APPRENDRE, etc.) sont intervenus aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s du gouvernement camerounais, afin de lui pr\u00eater main forte. On se pose alors la question de savoir quel est l\u2019\u00e9tat actuel de l\u2019\u00e9ducation au Cameroun. Les nombreux efforts consentis depuis des d\u00e9cennies dans le secteur de l\u2019\u00e9ducation produisent-ils les r\u00e9sultats escompt\u00e9s ? Si oui, comment et pourquoi ? Quels en sont les points forts \u00e0 retenir ? Si non, quelles en sont les causes, les manifestations et les palliatifs ? En d\u2019autres termes, le pr\u00e9sent article ambitionne de passer au crible l\u2019\u00e9tat dans lequel se trouvent actuellement les deux sous-syst\u00e8mes \u00e9ducatifs francophone et anglophone en vigueur au Cameroun. Tout ceci pour d\u00e9montrer que les r\u00e9sultats des d\u00e9ploiements faits jusque-l\u00e0 ne sont nullement reluisants, et qu\u2019il est d\u2019une urgence de premier ordre, de changer de strat\u00e9gie, si l\u2019on tient \u00e0 avoir une jeunesse suffisamment scolaris\u00e9e et efficacement form\u00e9e, capable d\u2019initier et d\u2019impacter positivement le d\u00e9veloppement du pays comme cela se voit ailleurs dans les pays d\u00e9velopp\u00e9s.
