It draws on the Theory of Value-Based Determinism (al-\u1e25atmiyya al-q\u012bmiyya) as an epistemic framework that enables the interrogation of the ethical and normative challenges contemporary institutions face in their communicative engagement with crises\u2014particularly in light of the transformations imposed by digital and algorithmic environments. The study develops an epistemological framework that integrates core concepts from the literature on communication ethics and crisis management theories to analyze value-laden dilemmas and ethical tensions arising from the socio-technical characteristics of digital platforms during crises. Within this context, the theory of value-based determinism is proposed as a normative paradigm that aims to formulate guiding principles and optimal deontological practices that empower institutions to engage in ethically responsible and effective communication during crises without compromising the moral dimensions of their strategic communication efforts.
