This research paper explores Michel Foucault's philosophy as a critical project that interrogates modes of human knowledge by deconstructing discourses and undermining the foundations of traditional humanism. It builds on Foucault's analysis of knowledge as a product of power and discourse, necessitating an examination of the mechanisms of its production within specific epistemological frameworks. The researcher aims to shed light on Foucault's critique of modern Western reason through the method of "archaeology," which uncovers epistemic ruptures and discursive formations via the concept of the "episteme." Additionally, the paper addresses Foucault’s redefinition of Western rationality by questioning the boundaries between legitimate knowledge and marginalized discourse, as well as his critique of humanism as a tool for consolidating power relations rather than liberating individuals. This opens the door to a profound reconsideration of the concepts of subjectivity and reason in modern thought.
