تتطرق الدراسة لموضوع إيقاظ الحس الجمالي الموسيقي لدى الأطفال في طور التعليم المتوسط والتي توافق مرحلة المراهقة المبكرة. ومنتهى هذه العملية هو تعزيز الإحساس بالجمال والتركيز والأداء العقلي لديهم، والذي ينجرّ عن عمليات التلقّي والاستمتاع بالأعمال الغنائية والموسيقية، ومن ثَمّ الإقبال والرغبة في العمل. والإيقاظ الموسيقي يُعد عملية تعليمية وتربوية مهمة، تتأتّى من خلال حصة التربية الموسيقية في الطور المتوسط، تستهدف تحفيز التلاميذ وتنمية قدراتهم الإبداعية والتفكير النقدي. للإحاطة بالموضوع وتحقيق أهدافه، تطلبت الدراسة استخدام استبيان لجمع البيانات ووصفها وتحليلها وفق متطلبات المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتقييم دوافع ومستوى الإيقاظ الموسيقي لدى عينة من التلاميذ مشكّلة من مجموعتين: تلاميذ السنة الأولى متوسط لأنهم لم يدرسوا التربية الموسيقية من قبل، وتلاميذ السنة الرابعة من نفس الطور كونهم درسوا التربية الموسيقية في السنوات السابقة. واستقراء الفروقات التي تُسجل وتُرصد مع مجموعتي العينة بما يسمح بتقديم اقتراحاتٍ ملموسة لتفعيل أدوار المادة الفنية.
