Pratiques langagières de quelques employés et clients dans les entreprises de télécommunications publiques et privées tchadiennes et algériennes

Cette analyse comparative explore l’usage des langues dans quatre entreprises de télécommunications – deux publiques et deux privées – situées en Algérie et au Tchad, deux pays partageant le français et l’arabe comme langues communes. Au-delà de leur rôle culturel, les langues sont également porteuses d'identité. L’étude s’intéresse aux langues effectivement utilisées en milieu professionnel, en tenant compte du fait que le français, langue étrangère en Algérie, est langue officielle au Tchad, tandis que l’arabe est langue officielle dans les deux pays. Une enquête sociolinguistique, fondée sur des questionnaires, a été menée dans les entreprises concernées afin de déterminer dans quelle mesure les usages linguistiques reflètent les statuts officiels. L’analyse comparative met en lumière les similitudes et différences sociolinguistiques entre les entreprises, tout en apportant un éclairage sur les besoins linguistiques des clients et les motivations sous-jacentes aux choix langagiers opérés en contexte professionnel.
